UN reaches resolution on multimodalism

The UN General Assembly adopted a new resolution on cooperation among all modes of transport to promote sustainable multimodal transit corridors in late December. Co-sponsored by 85 UN Member States, it focuses on multimodal transport, transit corridors and trade facilitation, while inciting Member States that have not yet done so to join the TIR Convention.
