Haulier has immigrant fine overturned

Telford lorry driver Jim Rushton, accused of bringing illegal immigrants into the UK, has had a £10,000 fine overturned by the Home Office, the BBC reports. He was fined when five stowaways were found after he left Calais on 12 January but has always maintained his vehicle had been checked stringently, including a heartbeat monitor which failed to detect anyone on board. Lufthansa to offer economy freight service
