The Trebil land border between Iraq and Jordan has reopened, reports the International Road Transport Union (IRU). Closed in mid-2015 for security reasons, it is the closest border to Iraq’s Western and Central regions, says the IRU, which adds that Jordan is currently a member of the TIR transit system while Iraq is due to join soon.
