French ports to run Swiss rail shuttle

A rail shuttle container service is to be launched between the French ports of Marseille Fos and Le Havre and Switzerland in mid-March in a joint initiative with intermodal operator Naviland Cargo. Tonnage up at Teignmouth

FedEx opens Shanghai hub

FedEx Express has officially opened its new Shanghai International Express and Cargo Hub located at Pudong International Airport. The 134,000sq m  facility includes a dedicated customer care centre as well as cold chain facilities, and is capable of processing up to 36,000 packages and documents per hour. [+]

December droop for Eurotunnel

Eurotunnel’s Le Shuttle Freight service transported 128,321 trucks in December 2017, a decrease of 3% compared to the same month in 2016. It moved more than 1.637 million for 2017 as a whole, compared with 1.642m in 2016, a fall of 0.3%. [+]
