PD Ports’ Port of Hartlepool has won a pipeline contract with Italian-owned global oilfield services company Saipem to service the Tolmount field, one of the largest undeveloped gas discoveries in the Southern North Sea.
Hartlepool will handle, temporarily store and load 26,000 tonnes of steel pipes over five-weeks before final vessel load-out to the field, 40 miles off the Yorkshire coast.
