Channel debut for Côte d’Opale

New DFDS ferry Côte d’Opale made its maiden voyage on the Dover-Calais route on 4 August. She can carry 3,100 lane metres of freight, the longest ferry on the Channel, and replaces Calais Seaways. With two engines instead of four, she will offer improvements in fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions and give a service speed of 20-22 knots. [+]
