DFDS’s UK cold chain business unit has acquired a 21,000-pallet cold store in Liverpool, two years on from taking over the lease of the facility. It has capacity for about 21,000 pallets, including a fully automated chamber holding over 12,400 pallets. The cold store operates at -21 degrees and is supported by an on-site transport fleet, as well as services including blast freezing, container devanning, temperature-controlled distribution and customs solutions.
