Maastricht helps power electric flight research

Maastricht Aachen Airport hosted a ceremonial electric flight to Germany to celebrate the partnership between the countries’ aerospace centres on 12 October. Pilots from the Netherlands Aerospace Centre and the German Aerospace Center flew the Pipistrel Velis Electro out of the Dutch gateway to Merzbruck Airport near Aachen, a distance of about 30 miles.
