IAG boosts Latin America import capacity

IAG Cargo has invested €1.5 million in expanding its temperature-controlled perishables facility in Madrid, part of a €12 million investment in its Spanish hub over the last six years. It will increase capacity of the facility by 45%, offering the largest cooling chambers at the hub. Freeport East builds for the future

Turkish sustainable building products firm Assan Panel will put its first UK manufacturing facility at Gateway 14, part of Freeport East. It will create around 100 jobs in Stowmarket and bring an investment of up to £45m. The new plant is scheduled to go into operation by Autumn 2025. [+]

Unifeeder opens in Panama

DP World’s shortsea arm, Unifeeder Group has opened its first office in Latin America, in Panama City. The move is part of the operator’s plans to develop its  operations in the region, following the introduction of a Hispaniola-Puerto Rico service in March 2023  and  a Colombia-Panama service in February 2024. Stena appoints fleet chief
