[ June 18, 2014 // Chris ]Amsterdam Airport Schiphol took the ‘Best Airport Europe’ category at the Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards – for the 19th time in the scheme’s 28-year history.
Schiphol’s senior VP Cargo, Enno Osinga, and business development director Saskia van Pelt were on hand to receive the award at a presentation ceremony in Shanghai, attended by several hundred transport-, logistics- and supply chain executives.
Osinga said: “It is always an honour to receive any award; the discriminating criteria, highly-regulated voting process, and strong calibre of competitors in the AFSCA Awards means this is a result of which we can be particularly proud.
“But we are not complacent. Streamlining our processes and strengthening our proposition as Europe’s preferred cargo hub is a work in progress. We’ll continue to invest, innovate and support our community to the best of our ability.”
