Day of action

Hundreds of thousands of workers around the world start an international action week organised by the International Transport Workers’ Federation this Monday (6 October). Road transport and railway workers will be joined this year by dockers and seafarer colleagues on 9 October in a day dedicated to the safety of containers. They will also highlight issues such as deregulation, outsourcing, working conditions, safety issues, HIV/AIDS, driver fatigue and enforcement of labour laws.
