TNT links Venice by plane – and by barge

TNT is launching a five-times weekly B737-400 freighter service between Venice and its Liege air hub in Belgium. It will speed up deliveries to and from North-East Italy, for traders needing guaranteed next-day delivery, flexibility and late collections.
The air gateway is located in the existing TNT Marcon depot, near Venice, opened in 2013. It is TAPA-certified and can handle up to 10 air freight containers. As well as 26 road distribution vehicles, it operates six ‘mototopi barges used to transport goods in the lagoon and into the historic centre of Venice.
