Networking boost for Multimodal

[ December 16, 2014   //   ]

The Multimodal supply chain show is using social media to boost networking as part of a revamp of its website and registration system. Now in its eighth year, the show at Birmingham’s NEC “is firmly established as the must-attend event for supply chain professionals,” said director, Robert Jervis.

He added: “Our new look reflects our success story and also looks to the future as we embrace social media to help create even more business opportunities for visitors.”

The exhibition takes place on 28-30 April and will play host to a series of seminars and panel discussions tackling the latest trends and regulations.

Expert speakers from Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Network Rail, the Co-operative, and Lafarge, amongst others, will take to the stage to share their experiences.

Multimodal has once more teamed up with the Freight Transport Association (FTA) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) to create a programme of practical discussion and learning.

Topics will include omnichannel challenges, rail freight opportunities, reducing environmental impact, and modal shift, as well as container weighing regulations, financing the supply chain, and reducing warehouse costs.

A full seminar programme will be available on Multimodal’s new web site in the New Year.

Registration for the show, which is 85% sold out, will open in January.
