F-f-f-reighter to the frozen North
[ February 11, 2015 // Chris ]Air charter specialist Chapman Freeborn and logistics partners GAC Norway and POLOG have delivered a prefabricated Arctic research station to northern Greenland on 17 Antonov AN-12 charter flights from Longyearbyen, Norway.
Just 924 km (574 miles) from the North Pole, the scientific outpost can only reached by air by air. Average temperatures are -14°C, dipping to a rather chilly -50°C in the winter.
