CMA first to Wellington

CMA CGM says it will become the first line to offer a direct connection between Wellington, New Zealand and Europe follwing the upgrade of its Panama Direct Line (PAD) service from 23 November. The service also calls at Tauranga, Napier and Lyttleton in New Zealand as well as ports in Australia and then sails via Panama and the US East Copast to Europe, where the UK call is Tilbury.
Wellington, on the Southern tip of the North Island of New Zealand, is also a hub for the rest of the country through its road and rail links. It is also a major meat production and exporting area.
