Pilgrims find a resting place thanks to ABP
[ November 4, 2015 // Chris ]It may not look much today, but this former sports pavilion is set to become the new home of under 10s football club Immingham Pilgrims – with the help of a £5,000 donation from Associated British Ports (ABP).
The dream of renovating the disused Roval Drive building and creating a thriving club house belonged to Under 10s football
Club manager, Mark Davis explains that though the Pilgrims have been running for over 30 years, “we have never had a real base to call home that the children and coaches can be proud of” – until he spotted the dilapidated building in Roval Drive.
He added:. “There is a lot of work to do but with ABP’s support, we are now able to make these changes and improve the building more quickly than I imagined.”
ABP has also agreed to sponsor the football kit for a new all girls team.
