[ November 10, 2015 // Chris ]DB Schenker Rail UK and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) to sponsor a Master’s degree final year student dissertation. The theme is ‘Rail Freight Logistics – the role of rail freight in the intermodal supply chain of the future’.
DB Schenker Rail UK head of marketing Steve Pryce said: “DB Schenker Rail UK is passionate about supporting the next generation of logistics professionals. We offer career opportunities through our EuroTRAIL International Graduate Programme, and for the last four years we have employed work placement students from local universities in our marketing and finance departments. Now, in partnership with the CILT, we are proud to launch and sponsor our Dissertation Award giving graduates the opportunity to study the future role of rail freight in the intermodal supply chain.”
The winning student will receive £500 and the opportunity to deliver a presentation at DB Schenker Rail UK’s Intermodal Port Conference 2016 and CILT membership for one year. The winning student’s professor will also be invited to the Intermodal Port Conference 2016.
