A new force in European groupage
[ February 15, 2016 // Chris ]UK-based central Europe and Russia specialist Eurogate Logistics has partnered with western and south-eastern Europe operator Transmec Group to offer a comprehesive network stretching from Malaga to Moscow. The two companies will combine their road and rail transport services and they also offer air and sea freight and warehousing.
Between them the partners have 50 offices throughout the continent, including Istanbul, Budapest, Bratislava, Warsaw, Moscow and the Russian city of Samara, a gateway to central Asia.
The partnership follows a successful collaboration in Romania where Transmec is the receiving partner for goods carried by Eurogate Logistics.
General manager of Transmec UK, John Simkins, said: “Our geographical coverage dovetails perfectly, enabling us to offer customers a complete service at highly-competitive rates.”
Managing director of Eurogate Logistics, Adam Nagy, added that would not only reap the rewards of expanded geographical coverage, “but they will also benefit from our combined expertise and our ‘can-do’ attitude.”
Italian-headquartered Transmec Group has a 300-strong European fleet, employs 900 people and has a turnover of €400 million and has UK depots in Redditch, Bradford and West Thurrock.
Eurogate Logistics employs 175 people in 19 offices and has a turnover of €65 million.
