BIFA calls for end to Grangemouth dispute
[ March 18, 2016 // Chris ]The British International Freight Association (BIFA) has urged the Unite union and Forth Ports, the owner of Grangemouth port in Scotland to meet and quickly resolve their industrial dispute.
The current action has halted all shipside activity at the port’s container terminal since Tuesday of this week. BIFA says the strike is already having a major impact on the Scottish economy and BIFA members.
If necessary the Scottish Government should intervene to facilitate these meetings, BIFA adds.
