Eurogate offers new routes to Poland

Eurogate Logistics has launched three new routes to Poland. The forwarder, which currently handles 40,000 full-load shipments each year to the country via Warsaw, now offers links to the Baltic port of Gdansk, the west-central city of Poznan and Rzeszow in the south east.

Like Warsaw, the new destinations will be served by twice-weekly groupage services from Eurogate’s sites in Glasgow, Bradford, Hinckley and Thurrock. The company also operates full-load and part-load services to and from Poland.

Introduction of a mid-week service also cuts overall transit times by up to three days.

Managing director of Eurogate Logistics, Adam Nagy (pictured, below), said: “Eastern Europe has always been a specialist area for us and with freight volumes in and out of Poland rapidly increasing, it was a natural focus for our continuing growth plans. Without question, Poland is an important destination in its own right. However, it’s also a critical hub for shipments to other destinations, including the Baltic States, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia and Central Asia, which is why it makes perfect sense for us to enhance our existing capability there.”
