London Gateway recruits retail expertise

DP World London Gateway has appointed Dean Hawkridge as head of commercial role at its Logistics Park. He was most recently group director of product supply for builders’ merchant Travis Perkins and prior to that head of international supply chain at DIY retailer B&Q and has also worked in similar roles for Woolworths, Poundstretcher and Burton, in a career spanning almost 30 years.

Work is proceeding on the  UPS parcel sorting hub on the Logistics Park announced in November 2015, while a number of ancillary services are now operational, including Maritime Transport and Eddie Stobart truck depots.
