DSV completes UTi takeover
[ August 9, 2016 // Chris ]DSV Air and Sea in the US has completed the office and IT integration of the former UTi freight forwarding division and has added DSV Road USA and DSV Solutions USA divisions headed by presidents Jacques Retief and Michael, respectively.
President of DSV Air and Sea North America, Niels Larsen, described it as a milestone. DSV’s Air and Sea organisation in the US now has over 1,000 employees across 36 offices.
All customers have been transferred to the DSV transport management system, CargoWiseOne.
With the acquisition of UTi, DSV has expanded its client base in the automotive sector and added healthcare to its portfolio, as well as boosting cross-border business between Mexico and the US. This, said Larsen, fitted DSV’s long-term strategy for the automotive sector – one of its fastest growing sectors in the US.
