New planes mean more freight space, says Virgin

Virgin Atlantic says its 12 new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, announced at last month’s Farnborough Airshow, will increase lower deck cargo capacity by between 10% and 22% when they enter service from 2019. The new planes will also be 30% more fuel and carbon efficient than the Boeing 747-400s and Airbus A340-600s  they replace.
