Potter bows out of logistics
[ October 26, 2016 // Chris ]Rail and road logistics operator is to transform itself into a property firm after it announced the sale of its warehousing and transport operations at five sites to WH Bowker. The five sites are Droitwich, Knowsley, Ripon, Selby and York.
The acquisition makes WH Bowker one of the largest UK players in specialist chemicals logistics, healthcare and food warehousing and distribution. It will have a fleet of over 200 trucks, 450 trailers, and more than a million square feet of warehousing, employing more than 750 people.
Potter Group (Holdings) said it would become a property investment company focusing on the development of its extensive land assets.
