A nuit to remember for logistics firms
[ December 9, 2016 // Chris ]Turkish logistics company Ekol and the VIIA intermodal arm of the French Railways won the Multimodal Operator category at the Nuit du Shortsea Shipping et de l’intermodalité Gala in Paris on 7 December. Three months ago Ekol and VIIA announced the start of a new service based on a weekly shuttle connection between the port of Sète to Noisy-le-Sec near the French capital.
Ekol’s engineering business development director, Alaa Jennane (pictured), said: “The connection between Sete and Paris is key for us as thanks to it we can better connect Turkey or Iran with Europe and Maghreb with the Paris region…We plan to implement more train connections in Europe in the next few months.”
