Strong start for Davies Turner’s China rail link
[ April 10, 2017 // Chris ]Davies Turner says it has had a good response to its weekly less-than-containerload rail service from Wuhan and Hefei to the UK. The service, which uses a road connection from Duisburg, was introduced three months ago in conjunction with the forwarder’s Chinese partner, Air Sea Transport.
Cargo is trucked into the UK under bond using the daily service that Davies Turner operates with its Polish partner Raben, for scustoms clearance and delivery to door.
Transit time from Hefei to the UK is 23 days and from Wuhan, 21 days.
