Rhenus opens in Surabaya and Semarang
[ June 2, 2017 // Chris ]The Rhenus Group says it plans to launch services at Surabaya, Indonesia’s second-largest city, in early August following the opening of an office in the port city of Semarang in February. The Rhenus national company in Indonesia has now been certified by IATA since the end of May, it adds.
Rhenus will have business operations at four sites in Indonesia in future including two locations in Jakarta. It will offer air and sea freight services, customs clearance and trucking from the new representative offices in Semarang and Surabaya.
Automobile, furniture and textile sectors as well as skilled crafts and trades are strong in Semarang, while plastic products, tobacco, furniture and shoes play an important role in Surabaya.
