Glass is more than half full for Tilbury

The Port of Tilbury has loaded its first trainload of raw glass for URM UK from a new recycling facility at the port.

Some 1200 tonnes of raw glass cullet left Tilbury en route for Cheshire this under a long term supply agreement. The cullet is produced from mainly from kerbside collections and bottle banks throughout the south of England.
