Davies Turner recruits high-tech apprentices

Freight services company Davies Turner has recruited another 12 A-level school leavers and graduates for this year’s trainee programme. A new departure for Davies Turner’s apprentice scheme, now in its eighth year, is that this year’s intake includes two IT net developers who will join its IT software development team.

All the youngsters will learn every aspect of Davies Turner’s business during the two-year apprenticeship, and like many of their predecessors, may well progress into management and supervisory roles.
Davies Turner is also a founding member of BIFA’s ‘Trailblazer’ employer group which was given the go ahead to develop the standard for a specific International Freight Forwarding Operative apprenticeship in April.
