Militzer & Münch opens Algerian affiliate

Militzer & Münch has set up an affiliate in the Algerian capital, Algiers. It joins Militzer & Münch organizations in Morocco and Tunisia.

The forwarder offers a range of services in the Maghreb region of North Africa including weekly dangerous goods groupage services, packaging and quality control, labelling, order picking and container stowing at its 5,000sq m Vitrolles logistics terminal near Marseilles.

The Algerian government is opening up the country to export and diversifying the economy to reduce dependence on oil and gas, for example by increasing iron ore and phosphate mining and industrial production with new cluster zones. Currently, imports account for 85% of goods flows to and from Algeria.
