Dunkerque barges into Valenciennes

The Port of Dunkerque has extended its Nord Ports Shuttle (NPS) barge service to Valenciennes. The route, launched in 2013 and operated by a 48teu vessel, already serves Dunkirk Flanders Terminal, Lille and Dourges and, since November 2017, Béthune. Retailer La Redoute is a major user.

Meanwhile, the port said that it had received an overwhelmingly positive response in its public consultation on its CAP 2020 project for a new complex in the Western Port. Some 78.5% of those taking part expressed a favourable opinion.
