Ireland in Brexit landbridge talks
[ September 7, 2018 // Chris ]Ireland was reported on 5 September to be discussing a deal that would allow it to keep using the UK as a land bridge for goods in transit without border checks after Brexit. Irish tax official Carol-Ann O’Keeffe, a senior told a British and Irish Chambers of Commerce conference in Dublin on 5 September that goods from the continent could undergo checks in France and customs-sealed units given free passage to Dublin, according to the Guardian newspaper.
