Once again, ferry operator DFDS is helping to bring the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree to London. The tree was ceremonially felled in Norway today (20 November).

Norway has sent a 20 metre spruce almost every year since 1947 to the people of Britain as a symbol of gratitude for its support and assistance in World War II. The Trafalgar Square tree is probably the world’s most famous Christmas tree and the lighting-up ceremony is broadcast around the world.
It travels by road to the Norwegian port of Brevik for loading onto a DFDS vessel to Immingham free of charge, for its final journey by low-loader to London, arriving on 1 December.
