French logistics firms push for longer trucks
[ July 10, 2019 // Chris ]The Union of Transport and Logistics Companies of France (TLF) is drafting a proposal for the French government to test combinations of longer and heavier vehicles up to 25.25 meters, reports the European Shippers Council.
Discussions on the number of pallets that could be transported are currently taking place, the TLF pointing out to the success of the LHVs in the Netherlands and Scandinavias which, TLF believes, will lead to a pan-European acceptance of the longer and heavier combinations.
ESC adds that its supports the deployment of longer and heavier vehicles in Europe.
