Teesport linked to Lithuania
[ November 3, 2020 // Chris ]Containerships has added a Balt VI service between Klaipeda (Lithuania) and Teesport, Operated by the MV A2B Leader, it offers 280teu capacity a week with a transit time of four days. Departures from Klaipeda are on Friday with arrival in Teesport on Monday. Geoff Lippitt, chief commercial officer at Teesport’s owner, PD Ports, said, “The addition of yet another service to our sailing schedule further demonstrates the strength of the multimodal services we offer at PD Ports and highlights continued confidence in the Tees Valley to deliver on international trade opportunities.”
Containerships chief executive Rob Waterman, added: “Using Teesport is affirmation of the outstanding reliability of the service they provide and will allow us to ensure swift transportation of cargo from Eastern Europe into the UK using extensive multimodal services.”
