Delta Watch Tower ensures that vaccine shipments get through

Delta Cargo has set up a Vaccine Watch Tower to ensure that critical goods are shipped with the highest priority on its aircraft and to monitor the entire journey from end to end. If there is a disruption, the Tower works across numerous divisions on a recovery plan to ensure the vaccines reach the final destination.

For example, Delta recently had two vaccine shipments connecting through Atlanta to the West Coast. Due to mechanical delays on the inbound flights to Atlanta, both shipments would have missed their connections without intervention. The Vaccine Watch Tower, however, brought together Delta teams to ensure the vaccines made it safely to Seattle by holding the two onward flights held for a short time.
