New Europe boss for Freightliner parent

Freightliner and Pentalver owner Genesee & Wyoming has appointed Eddie Aston as UK/Europe Region chief executive. The region employs 3,100 people in the UK and continental Europe and comprises the Freightliner operations in  the UK and Poland,  container logistics provider Pentalver and train operator Rotterdam Rail Feeding. Aston’s career includes 13 years at DHL,  and also has served as UK, Ireland and Nordics managing director at Ceva Logistics. He succeeds Gary Long, who is moving back to the US as planned.
