Atran gains animal certificate
[ June 1, 2021 // Chris ]Volga-Dnepr Group’s ATRAN Airlines has gained a Type 2 Transport certificate allowing it to carry live animals to, from and across Europe.
The certificate which is valid to 2026 followed certification process under the IATA LAR (Live Animals Regulations) and European Council Regulation.
The carrier’s general director, Vitaliy Andreev, said it would concentrate mostly on day-old chicks and horses.
While Atran has carried live animal before, handling such requests through one-time permission and the certification will allow it to process charter or scheduled requests faster.
