Freight forwarding and logistics company NTEX has acquired Scanroad Sweden and Scanroad France, its eighth and ninth acquisitions since 2017.

NTEX was founded in Gothenburg in 2003 and has since grown to almost 600 employees and a turnover of approximately SEK 2 billion. It also has offices in the UK, Norway, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, along with agents in a number of European countries.

The latest acquisitions will make NTEX Sweden’s largest freight forwarders in the French and Belgian Markets.

NTEX founder and chief executive Thomas Ström will take over as chief executive of Scanroad Sweden, and Joseph Chérian will continue his work in the company, stationed in France, to expand traffic to Scandinavia. Franz Durot will continue as chief executive of the Scanroad France subsidiary, which will change its name to NTEX.

Thomas Ström commented: “Scanroad is a company with a good reputation and well-established contacts. I am very pleased to welcome them into the NTEX family, which has now become one of the largest Swedish freight forwarding companies on the French and Belgian market.”
