Woodland mounts defence against World Cup strikers
[ November 9, 2022 // Chris Lewis ]Workers at London Heathrow cargo handlers Dnata and Menzies are due to strike from the early hours of 18 November to the early hours of 21 November in a dispute over pay, reports forwarder Woodland Group. It warns that it will lead to disruption, cancellations and delays at terminals 2, 3 and 4, and is expected to affect Qatar Airways in particular, impacting its additional 10 flights a week scheduled during the World Cup. Other airlines affected include Virgin Atlantic, Singapore Airlines, Cathay-Pacific and Emirates.
Woodland adds that it is in contact with the relevant airlines and are looking into possible alternative options to avoid disruption to upcoming bookings.
