Hamburg ships food aid to Odessa

German Food Bridge, stevedore Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) and Unilever have shipped a container of urgently needed food by rail to Odessa  in Ukraine.

Head of German Food Bridge and chairman of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, André Pilling, said that with the damage done to energy infrastructure in large parts of the country, food supply can no longer be guaranteed due to destroyed supply chains.

HHLA has many employees at its subsidiary in Odessa. Earlier, it shipped three containers with medical aid to the city.
