Logistics firms clean up at annual awards
[ December 12, 2022 // Chris Lewis ]Logistics UK announced the winners of its sixth annual Logistics Awardsin London on 8 December. Entries for the awards – sponsored by jetwash manufacturer Kärcher – came from road, rail, sea and air sectors including operators, manufacturers, logistics and supporting industries and recognised companies and individuals that have made a significant contribution to the logistics and supply industry in the past 12 months.
Winners include airfreight broker CharterSync (Most Innovative Company of the Year); DFDS Cold Chain (Road Transport Operator of the Year); Cargo.one (Air Business); GB Railfreight (Rail Business); GPS Marine Contractors (Water Business); McCulla Ireland (Decarbonisation Champion); and Exis Technologies (Logistics Technology Provider).
Rising Star of the Year wasDHL Parcel UK Sales Executive, Kara Buckley, Logistics Leader of the Year was Stagefreight director, Ian Uttley, while the Logistics UK Lifetime Achievement Award went to Malcolm Group chief executive, Andrew Malcolm.
Logistics UK chief executive, David Wells, summed up: “Resilience is the watchword which is synonymous with logistics, and you should all be incredibly proud of the work you have done in the past 12 months to keep trade flowing and customers happy. What other industry would quietly cope with all the challenges and continue to deliver when the working environment seemingly changes every week? Our industry is one which I am very proud to work in.”
