Two years’ success for Bordeaux port system
[ December 13, 2022 // Chris Lewis ]The Bordeaux port community and tech firm MGI are celebrating the two-year anniversary of the launch of the Ci5 port community system. The first vessel was processed on 4 November 2020.
Bordeaux, Informatique Portuaire+ (BIP+), a subsidiary of the Union Maritime et Portuaire de Bordeaux (Bordeaux Maritime Port Union), and Marseille Gyptis International (MGI) have been working in partnership for over ten years.
Ci5 connects 15 different activities in the maritime sector, including private and public actors and is based on open-source technologies. It is scalable and already features technologies including Block Chain and Artificial Intelligence. It eliminates the need for multiple paper declarations, facilitating and speeding up cargo processing.
BIP+ organised a reception on board a barge with its customers, users, partners and the MGI teams.
