Maersk to open Saudi cool chain site

AP Moller-Maersk is to open a cold storage facility at Mawani’s King Abdulaziz port in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The 13,300sq m facility will handle 168,000 pallet positions annually at Saudi Arabia’s second-largest port for refrigerated containers and will primarily handle frozen commodities such as poultry, meat, vegetables, confectionary processed food along with chilled cargo such as dairy products and seasonal fruits.
