Manchester to be hotbed of logistics innovation
[ April 12, 2023 // Chris Lewis ]CMA CGM Group chairman and chief executive Rodolphe Saadé revealed that Manchester, along with Singapore, will be one of two new hubs for the Zebox Ventures seed fund for French and international start-ups.
He said that the city was the number one location in Europe for tech startups, with its five universities, attractive funding programs for entrepreneurs and a raft of sustainable development initiatives.
With an average deal size of €50,000 to €250,000, Zebox Ventures aims to cover a diverse range of sectors connected to shipping and logistics, mobility, decarbonization and energy transition, process digitalization and AI and the future of work.
The Zebox community, which was originally established during 2018 in Marseille, now counts 17 partners and over 130 startups and has helped to raise more than $235 million in funding and launched over 100 co-innovation processes between startups and corporate partners.
