Southampton starts modal shift scheme

DP World has formally launched its modal shift programme to help cargo owners switch from road to rail. Under the scheme, customers whose laden import containers are moved by rail to a railhead within 140 miles of DP World Southampton will receive a £70 incentive. For movements of over 140 miles the incentive is £10.
