Warrenpoint forwarder tees up commercial director

Warrenpoint-based international freight-forwarder, Trans Europe Express (TEE) has appointed Ryan McGovern as commercial director.

TEE offers freight and customs services including groupage and full trailer services between Ireland, the UK and Europe, specialising in the Scandinavian market.

He will join Ryan join his father, Vincent McGovern, founder and managing director, as part of the management team at TEE, which celebrated its 30-year anniversary in 2020. He will lead on operational activities, as well as business development and sales.

Since joining the family-owned business in 2017, Ryan McGovern has worked across most areas of the company, helping to guide it through a tumultuous period for the freight sector, including the Covid-19 pandemic and the ramifications of Brexit and which continue to dominate local economic and political headlines.

Ryan said, “I am very proud to become a director in McGovern said: “I have a real appreciation of the hard work that has gone in to making the company a success and have seen first-hand the fantastic relationships that have developed with our many valued customers and suppliers.
