Haropa to develop trimodal platform for Paris
[ September 27, 2023 // Chris Lewis ]Haropa, the port authority for Le Havre, Rouen and Paris, is developing is developing the port of Bruyères-sur-Oise as a multimodal platform, 40km from Paris.
Haropa says that it is anticipating the opening of the Seine-North Europe Canal.
Following a call for projects launched in 2022 for the allocation of this site winning bidder MEDLOG, the logistics arm of MSC, aims to set up a trimodal logistics platform dedicated to France’s leading consumer region and a national hinterland, via a rail connection.
Commissioning of the terminal is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024.
The logistics platform will handle containers, bulk, swap bodies and heavy cargo and export food and refrigerated containers. It will also be used for maintenance and repair of containers.
