We’re not happy, says survey
[ April 16, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]A new report on workplace satisfaction among UK workers in 2024 shows that transport and logistics professionals are the least happy sector.
The Career Happiness Index, collated by careers transformation specialist The Futures Group, also said that accounting and finance and healthcare appear to be the most satisfying sectors to work in.
With a challenging workforce landscape, heightened by the cost-of-living crisis, the research analysed Glassdoor data on culture, diversity, work-life balance, senior leadership, compensation, and career development.
At the bottom of the index, the industry with the lowest workplace satisfaction score was transport and logistics, following behind manufacturing and retail and ecommerce.
Factors in the low scope included limited flexibility and rigorous work hours.
