Three join BIFA board

The British International Freight Association (BIFA) has elected Denise Hill, Ian Mallon and Chris Packwood to its board of directors.

Denise Hill joined BIFA’s secretariat in April 2023 as member engagement director. With her election to the BIFA Board, she will assist with the governance of the trade association’s work.

Ian Mallon, managing director of Neon Freight, joins the board with over two decades of experience in the logistics and freight forwarding industry. Under his leadership, Neon Freight has grown into a leading provider of international shipping solutions and his expertise in global logistics will help BIFA navigate the complexities of the modern freight industry and advocate for its members’ interests.

Chris Packwood, managing director of Geodis UK, brings comprehensive knowledge of international trade and logisticsthat  will strengthen BIFA’s efforts to support its members through advocacy, training, and industry leadership.

Steve Parker, Chairman of BIFA, said: “Their extensive experience and leadership in the freight forwarding industry will be instrumental in guiding BIFA’s strategic direction and supporting our mission to represent and promote the interests of UK freight forwarders. Their appointments come at a pivotal time as we continue to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the global trade environment.”
